SEE WHAT I CAN  OFFER YOU

Our Story

The center of Beside Still Waters will always be God - worshiping Him through prayer, thought, action, and caring for our bodies. In recent years, controversy has arisen around if Christians could and should do yoga. However, I and YogaFaith  believe that God creates all, and yoga is an avenue to connect with the Lord, experience His grace, and fill your life with His spirit!

My higher purpose in ministry is to do just that while guiding and instructing you towards a better quality of life. I want to do for you what yoga has done for me, which is to let God heal me in a way I’ve never felt before.

We want to build you up by giving you the tools you need to be happy and healthy, taking a deep breath away from the craziness of life, and being still, listening to the wonderful things the Lord has planned for you!

Whether you feel anxious about being in a group or just simply prefer individual lessons, I’m offering private classes featuring yoga at any skill level, as well as scripture-based devotionals, prayer, meditation, and wellness coaching.

Our group classes will let you get a feel for what yoga is about and how the grace of God can be channeled through it. It doesn’t matter how much experience you have with yoga - join our community and breathe in His love!

All are welcome at no cost, but donations are greatly appreciated and help keep things running!

Periodically throughout the year, I will host retreats, either on my own or in affiliation with other Christian ministries, where we can escape from it all and give our sole attention to the Lord who is most deserving of it. These retreats can be a powerful way to rekindle your relationship with God while building fellowship with other believers. I love these experiences, and I hope you’ll be there with me the next time we go!

Service 3

Whatever your event may be, adding a moment of stillness to connect with Christ and your group is a wonderful addition!

Yoga Teacher Training

In affiliation with YogaFaith, we offer instruction to anyone interested in being a certified yoga instructor themselves.

Being a part of our training program will help build a global community of Christian yoga ambassadors to fulfill the Great Commission given to us by Christ!

Why Christian Yoga?

Yoga is an ancient practice dating back thousands of years, and for thousands of years people have used it for strength, health, meditation, and worship. While having historical ties to Hinduism and Buddhism, yoga itself is not a religion, nor is it bound to any religion. And, while it is nonsectarian, it can be used to grow one’s faith and reset one’s mindset for a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.

With yoga practices that are centered on Jesus, we can start every day worshiping, meditating, and becoming filled with the Holy Spirit. By making it a routine, we can help you get one step further in letting God be the foundation of your every action. The Bible calls for us to worship the Lord with all our heart, soul, and strength (Deuteronomy 6:5), and yoga can be a wonderful tool to help you get there.

In addition to the spiritual benefits of performing Christ-centered yoga routines, it also has loads of physical benefits that can let you feel your best - and it doesn’t matter what your fitness level is! Studies show that yoga can relieve pain and tension, as well as assist in healing, and my personal experience supports that as well. After doing yoga, I’ve had more energy than I’ve had in decades, and I’d absolutely love to share these methods with you!

According to the American Osteopathic Association, yoga can improve:

  • General flexibility

  • Overall strength and muscle recovery

  • Weight and metabolism

  • Respiratory and cardiovascular health

  • Athletic performance

  • And more!

The core of it all is worshiping God, yet yoga has so many other health benefits that I can’t help but suggest you give it a shot!
